Kacie D.'s Periodic Table Characters

I'm going to start using this blog, not just as another portfolio, but as a resource for inspiration to other designers. So to start off, I found this really cool project on buzzfeed. Artist Kacie D. lovingly anthropomorphized every single element. It started off as a senior thesis in character design and she later finished the periodic table.

This is the first of four comics that I was planning on using in a webcomic with my friend, comedian Eitan Levine. Unfortunately, due to copyright concerns we decided to pull the plug so we just posted them for the enjoyment of our friends.

Another collaboration with Benji Lovitt. Based on the freakish amount of rainfall Israel was having in early January of 2013 and similar statements made by members of the Shas party in the past.

Christmas in Israel: gone viral!

My illustration went viral overnight with 469 shares in just 12 hours (concept by Benji Lovitt)
UPDATE: Thousands of shares and innumerable likes. Was shared on an Israeli facebook page called "Chirping Statuses" which has 184,000 followers, the facebook page of an Israeli tv show called "The Nation's Status" which has 44,000 followers, as well as an online Israeli newspaper called The Times of Israel which has 46,000 followers, and many many more sites shared this. It blew up in one day!
